About project

RunSafe combines the latest technology with user-friendly design, allowing runners to easily select safe routes for training, receive accurate performance data (distance, pace, time), and feel secure with integrated safety features. Special attention is given to providing solutions for women who run alone. Integration with wearable devices and quick emergency alerts give users additional peace of mind. The goal is to make the training process more comfortable and safe for all users.

Solution

The RunSafe team focused on creating an intuitive, secure, and efficient mobile app. The process involved several key stages:

  • Design and UX: A simple and user-friendly interface was developed, balancing functionality with aesthetic appeal. Visual prototypes were created and tested with different user categories.
  • Technical Implementation: Flutter was chosen for frontend development, allowing the app to be available on both iOS and Android. This enabled the team to implement key features such as an activity tracker, interactive route selection map, and user profile.
  • Security and Backend: Firebase was used to store user data and ensure authentication, providing real-time synchronization and system reliability. Special focus was placed on data protection and creating an API for smooth interaction between the frontend and backend.
  • Safety Features: Emergency alerts and real-time GPS tracking were integrated, providing users with the ability to quickly notify loved ones or emergency services in case of a critical situation.
  • Testing and Optimization: After launching the beta version, extensive testing was conducted, including unit testing. Real user feedback helped improve the app before the final release.
